Notice of Proposed Utility Allowances

Beyond Housing, The Housing Authority of the City of Bristol, VA (BH) has completed its annual review of Public Housing, Housing Choice Voucher and Tax Credit utility allowances and encourages residents to review the proposed utility allowances for each. 

Pursuant to regulation 24 CFR 965.502, BH hereby provides 60 day notice to its residents and voucher holders of the proposed utility allowances.  Proposed Effective Date of Implementation is April 1, 2026.

The proposed allowances will be posted, and may be reviewed at any time during business hours, in the main lobby of the BH Office at 120 Hope Ln, Bristol, VA  24201. 

The Board of Commissioners will vote to approve or deny the new allowances at the regularly scheduled March meeting.  Residents and voucher holders may provide written comments prior to the meeting date, and all comments received will be shared prior to the vote.
